Undergraduate research assistantships
Undergraduate Research Assistants (URA) participate in ISR's interdisciplinary research through research projects conducted by ISR faculty members. Assistants are selected by ISR faculty members for URA appointments of one or two semesters or one-year periods.
Qualifications
The URA award is contingent upon registration as a full-time undergraduate student at the University of Maryland. Renewals are based on the URA's performance and the availability of funds.
Benefits
URAs receive an hourly wage. They may work up to 20 hours per week during fall and spring semesters and up to 40 hours per week during semester breaks and summers. Funding for URA appointments must be provided by an ISR faculty member.
Application procedure
Interested students should contact ISR faculty members to inquire if there are openings and/or funding for URA appointments.
