Successful Foundation Funding: Making the Connection—Writing the Winning Proposal

Dr. Anita Plotinsky

Foundation Center of Washington DC

This workshop will explore strategies for securing and expanding foundation support for your work. It will cover the basics of foundation fundraising, including information about the latest trends and practices in institutional philanthropy. There will be time for questions and discussion.

Dr. Anita H. Plotinsky was the director of the Foundation Center-Washington, DC from 2000 to 2008. She previously served as executive director of the Association for Research on Nonprofit Organizations and Voluntary Action (ARNOVA), as assistant director for academic programs at the Indiana University Center on Philanthropy, and as an associate faculty member in Indiana University’s graduate programs in Nonprofit Management and Philanthropic Studies. Currently a consultant to national nonprofit organizations, she also teaches grant proposal writing at the George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs.
