I manage the facilities and personnel of the Computer Integrated Manufacturing laboratory; supervise software/hardward installation and maintenance; perform applications and systems programming on UNIX, C++, Java, and ObjectStore, an object-oriented database; research and develop software in the areas of computer integrated manufacturing, product design and process planning, agile manufacturing, virtual manufacturing, information systems, and Internet; oversee routine operations and manage software development projects for faculty members and industrial collaborators affiliated with the lab; aid in the selection of various software systems in support of projects; and advise Ph.D. and M.S. students.
