XOPHIAN
SYSTEM
Xopha is a binary star system in the "other" spiral arm of the galaxy.
Most pepole would characterize this binary system as consisting of a
White Dwarf and a Red Giant. Nothing is further from the truth.
Though the look of the system may support such speculations, it really
is a binary system consisting of identical White Dwarfs. Between the
Dwarfs is a giant body of oscillating gas. Due to the gravitational
pull of the two stars, this body of gas is not tightly bound to either
one. With the period of 427 Years and 42 days (Kelduran time; not Earth
years and days) this gas body completely moves from one Dwarf to the
other. To complicate the matters, the two stars make complete revolutions
around the La Grange point every 47 Kelduran days. Due to the fact that
these Dwarfs are identical, the above fact that the gas body actually
moves from one star to the other was not discovered until careful
observations were done by two amature astronomoers in the Second Wave.
The Xophian solar system contains 6 planets. The planet #4-II is the
our home base,
