During the First Wave, it was discovered that the original location of Kelduroz was not optimal. It was situated too far from the binary system and as such was much cooler and contained too much ice and not enough water. The Robotic Founders of the First Wave devised the plan to move the planet into a closer orbit. It is assumed that during the energizing phase of the operation, there had been a tragic accident that wiped out the whole of the First Wave.
The Second Wave operations were not initiated until well after the current Magneto-Gravitational field was fully understood, full 3 centuries after the first debacle. With the new knowledge, the Robotic Founders of the Second Wave did not find much difficulty in moving Kelduroz to the proper location. It is also shown with 78% accuracy that had the First Wave been successful in its earlier attempt, the projected location of Kelduroz would have destabilized the whole binary system, creating an ever increasing oscillations in the twin stars' orbits. This would have, at the very least, engulfed the first two planets of the system thereby throwing the whole system into chaos. This leads us to believe that even though the earlier exploration's efforts ended in tragic circumstances, their failure was a blessing in disguise.
Contrary to popular belief, Kelduroz and Kelduron are not on the same orbit around the Xopha system. It is just that Kelduroz's orbit takes it inside the orbit of Kelduron 55% of the time. In other words, 55% of the time, Kelduroz is the 4th planet and Kelduron (the big brother) is the fifth planet. During other times, the two planets exchange the rankings. Moreover, as with any other solar system, all the "original" planet orbits of the Xopha system are in a single plane of rotation. The Second Wave decided to change this natural scheme somewhat. Kelduroz's orbital plane is 17 degrees off from the other planetary orbital planes. This, plus the fact that Kelduroz orbits around two suns, one of which is always Red/Orange, has created spectacular lighting effects on our home base. It has also been shown that with the angular orbit of Kelduroz introducing an angular momentum in a completely different direction from that of both the planetary rotation and the twin star orbit, has considerably stabilized the "wobble" of the whole star system.
Kelduroz has three "moons." These, however, are not natural satellites. They are huge, artificial, satellites, not unlike the Death Star on your space fantasy movie Star Wars. However, our satellites are not protected with an energy shield and the Emporor never, ever visits these space stations. Nor do they have any "fire power" like the Death Star.
The Robotic Founders of the Second Wave, evidently, were highly aesthetic characters. Not only did they find a system with unusual binary system, and created a planeraty motion that best exploits the visual effets of the star system, they also created the artificial satellites to look exacly like natural ones. Moreover, the Kelduroz surface itself may have been altered to create the best looking landscape anywhere this of the galaxy. So, it is inevitable that almost all the Keldurians, at least at one point in their lives, become avid photographers.
