~ Bienvenue ~

I am a full time research engineer at the University of Maryland. I joined Dr. Gary Rubloff's research group in 1998 and have been since then working on a variety of projects primarily related to CVD* and ALD** thin film deposition processes for microelectronics and nanotechnology applications. (*Chemical Vapor Deposition, ** Atomic Layer Deposition)

In 2001, I also joined the doctoral program in the Materials Science and Engineering department at UMD. I recently completed my coursework and am now focusing on my research where I am studying novel combinatorial approaches for the deposition of ternary systems via Atomic Layer Deposition.

A good part of my time is also dedicated to the management of the Laboratory for Advanced Materials Processing. While a close group of students help me with the day-to-day tasks of running the lab, I take care primarily of implementing safety procedures, IT issues, and equipment maintenance.

Besides work, I enjoy cycling across the rolling hills of Virginia and Maryland, visit my home country (France) and take some time off with my wife to go hiking. You are welcome to visit my personal web site where I gathered some pictures of our latest trips.
