Conclusions ...
We have a created a framework for next-generation
systems engineering methodology and web-based tool capability.
Further Issues...
But we still need to:
-
Formulate a framework for writing a broad range of requirements
that can be parsed into components.
-
Develop a processing pathway from "requirements components"
to "web-based reasoning" (e.g., via Jess or Mandarax).
-
Build a graph-based model for requirements representation and management,
coupled with appropriate models for requirements-design traceability.
-
Better understand how synthesis with "early real-time rule checking"
should work for problems having a strong spatial component.
Important Applications ...
-
Layout of facilities and networks in buildings.
Applications include: furniture layout;
sensor networks for security, environmental control, ... etc.
-
Layout of network facilities in geographical domains.
Applications include power grids; water facilities; communications ... etc.
