Day 8 : Darling Creek to Pachena Bay

The lighthouse at Pachena Pt is only 4 km from Darling river. We saw some grey whales playing the sea immediately below the lighthouse, and pictures of a cougar sitting on the lawn outside the lighthouse keeper house.

The last challenge ... we had to climb down into the creek and back up the mud slope. Someone had tied a rope to a tree so you could yourself up the hill.

The trail ends when you walk out into a field with a small trail hut .... nearby is beautiful Pachena beach. It didn't even occur to us to walk over and take a closer look.
