Day 2 : Port Renfrew to Thrasher Cove

We spent our first night at the West Coast Trail Motel. Here's Dave and Spencer having breakfast -- coffee and muffins -- at the beginning of day 2.

After attending the trail orientation meeting, a boat took us for a short ride across the Gordon river to the trail head.

Here's the team -- Spencer Hartigan, Joe Gvozdanovich, me, Dave Park -- at the trail head. Notice the clean boots and clothes. Only 75 km to go.

Camp site 1 at Thrasher Cove is only 6 km from the trail head. The last 1 km down to the beach is steep and muddy.
