Accomplishment

A framework has been developed to simplify implementation of global spectral methods for simulations requiring solutions to boundary value problems. This set of MATLAB-based functions allows step-by-step construction and analysis of distributed parameter system simulations.

Impact

Impact

  • Applicable to a wide range of semiconductor device manufacturing and other chemical process simulation problems
  • Ideal for model reduction and parameter identification applications
  • Allows accurate and simple-to-implement error analysis
  • Facilitates a rapid-prototyping approach to simulator development
