Mr. Masaaki Nagashima, a researcher at Honda Motors, Co., Ltd., worked with ISR-affiliated Professor William Levine (ECE) on improving control for automobile drivability and emissions.
Mr. Morimichi Nishigaki, a researcher from Honda R&D, worked with Professor Yiannis Aloimonos (CS/UMIACS) on 3-D image reconstruction for video images. The research was conducted in the Computer Vision Laboratory of the Center for Automation Research (CfAR).
Mr. Takeo Yokoyama, a chassis designer in the motorcycle body design division of Honda R&D, worked with Mechanical Engineering Associate Professor David Holloway on the Future Truck program.
Mr. Yoshihiko Eguchi, a noise-damping and exhaust systems engineer in the automobile body development department of Honda R&D, worked with Mechanical Engineering Professor Kenneth Kiger on turbulence and transition in cardiovascular circulation.
Mr. Hirokatsu Nakaie designs chassis for scooters as an engineer with Honda Motor Co., and worked with ISR-affiliated Professor William Levine (ECE) on dynamic characterization of suspension systems in motorcycles.
Mr. Kazutomo Nishida designs electrical components for general purpose commercial engines as an engineer with Honda Motor Co. He conducted research with ISR-affiliated Professor Christopher Davis (ECE) on various projects involving sensor and control systems for general purpose engines.
Mr. Eiji Adachi, engineer in the Research Department of Honda R&D, conducted research with Professor Balakumar Balachandran (ME) on the dynamic analysis of a motorcycle structure via modeling and simulation.
Mr. Naritomo Higuchi, an automotive engineer at Honda R&D, worked with ISR Associate Professor Lung-Wen Tsai on hybrid electric vehicle transmissions. Dr. Tsai is now deceased.

Mr. Masahiro Kotake, Research Scientist with Toshiba Corporation, conducted research with Professor Michael Ball (Robert H. Smith School of Business/ISR) on supply chain management with the Robert H. Smith School of Business and ISR. The work originally was begun by Mr. Atsushi Takada.
