Research Interests
Internet congestion control; resource allocations in wireless networks; network performance modeling; and application of game theory
Background Information
Richard J. La received the B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland at College Park in 1994, and the M.S. and Ph.D in Electrical Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley in 1997 and 2004, respectively. Before joining ISR and ECE he was a member of the systems engineering group at Alcatel U.S.A. and the mathematics of communication networks group at Motorola Inc.
He is a member of IEEE and has served on the technical program committee for IEEE ICC, ACM MobiHoc, and Wireless Internet.
