The International Symposium on Mesoscale and Fluctuation Thermodynamics will be held to celebrate Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering (ChBE) professor Mikhail A. Anisimov's 70th birthday.
The symposium, sponsored by ChBE, the Institute for Physical Science & Technology, and the Office of International Programs, will deal with contemporary issues in thermodynamics and statistical physics emerging at mesoscales in a variety of soft condensed matter systems. The event will conclude with a reception, cello recital and gala dinner. Complimentary registration is required.
