Program Office |

NEXTOR is a rich collaboration between core and affiliated academic institutions,
government, and industry. The various branches of the COE Center are connected
by a common purpose—to develop and deliver research of the utmost quality and relevance.
NEXTOR members are located all over the country, giving raise to the need for a primary
office where centralized functions take place. This office allows cohesiveness necessary
for a thriving Center of Excellence. The NEXTOR Program Office was established in 1996
and is located on the University of California, Berkeley campus within the Institute of
Transportation Studies.
The Program Office works to support NEXTOR in the following ways:
- Manages public relations
- Coordinates the Industry Partner Program
- Liaisons with the FAA for contract issues, research project development and FAA internship programs
- Provides management coordination for NEXTOR Directors
- Implements program development
- Facilitates research symposiums, conferences, and short courses
- Provides financial and contractual management
