Sensor sharing

Robots investigate their world through their sensors. There are cases, however, where the sensors of one robot may interfere with another's as in the case of multiple robots using similar sonar sensors tuned to the same frequency range. In this case an efficient means of sharing sensor time is needed.
This problem is a version of the limited communication problem, a research area of recent interest. A good introduction to this problem can be found in Prof. D. Hristu's PhD. thesis:
