Jeff Shamma is Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at UCLA. He received the Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from MIT in 1988. He has been a Visiting Associate at Caltech, Visiting Professor at MIT and the University of Florida Graduate Engineering Research Center, and a Visiting Researcher at the AFOSR Research Institute for Autonomous Precision Guided Systems. His general area of research is feedback control systems, with current interest in distributed/complex systems. This work involves the control of networks of distributed decision making agents in uncertain and possibly hostile environments.
