Biography

Josip Loncaric
Institute for Computer Applications in Science and Engineering
NASA Langley Research Center

Dr. Josip Loncaric is a Senior Staff Scientist at the Institute for Computer Applications in Science and Engineering (ICASE) at the NASA Langley Research Center. His current research areas include flow control, noise control and commodity supercomputing. Dr. Loncaric received his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics at Harvard University in 1985. In 1987, he joined the Systems Research Center (now the Institute for Systems Research) at the University of Maryland, where he worked on numerous problems in robotics. Later, he founded and was president of Logis Technologies, Inc., engaged in marketing geographic information systems. After selling his company, Dr. Loncaric returned to full time research in 1996.
