Naomi E. Leonard
Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering

Naomi Ehrich Leonard received the B.S.E. degree in mechanical engineering from Princeton University in 1985 and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Maryland in 1991 and 1994, respectively. From 1985 to 1989, she worked as an engineer in the electric power industry for MPR Associates, Inc., of Alexandria, VA. She is currently Associate Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Princeton University. She is also an associated faculty member of the Program in Applied and Computational Mathematics at Princeton. Her research interests include dynamics and control of nonlinear systems with application to mechanical systems such as autonomous underwater vehicles.
