We will list and comment on a few results in nonlinear dynamical systems theory that, arguably, can
be easily misread. What does the Hartman-Grobman theorem really say? What are the hypotheses in the
Hopf bifurcation theorem? What do we really know about the convergence of gradient flows? And
about the stability of their equilibria?
