Smeelings and Smemories

I'd like to propose a couple new words:

smeelings and smemories.

A smeeling is a smell-feeling. Let's say that you happen to catch a wiff of black licorice while walking past someone on the street and it suddenly, out of the blue, it reminds you of the feeling of being stressed out and panicky. You can't quite figure out why you feel this way...

A smemory is a smell-memory. After trying to place the licorice-induced, smeeling for a few minutes, it occurs to you that during your junior year in college, you got into eating black licorice while working on homework. Smart and Final Iris sold buckets of licorice really cheap!

I have lots of those associations from my ancient past and more-recent past. It just seems that there ought to be a good, pleasant-sounding word for these two concepts. Afterall, it is an extremely powerful sensation and highlights the consequences of some pretty cool neuroanatomical connections.

other fun associations i have...

rosemary -> motorcycles
leather -> motorcycles
chocolate pudding -> Miss Sammetinger's 2nd grade finger painting
cigarette smoke -> airline travel
