Biography:

Somashekar Bangalore Prakash received the B.E. (Hons.) degree in electrical and electronics engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, India, in 2002, and the M.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park, in 2004, where he is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering. He is currently a Graduate Research Assistant in the Integrated Biomorphic Information Systems Laboratory, Institute for Systems Research, University of Maryland, College Park. His research interests include mixed-signal integrated circuit design, CMOS biosensors, and CMOS/MEMS integration targeted towards lab-on-a-chip technologies.
