CAD/CAE Resources

Currently there are a number of resources available for CAD/CAM.

Pro/Engineer Version 17.0
Seat licenses to be used on Silicon Graphics Indy's at the ADM Lab.

To run Pro/E, type in unix shell:

proeng

Pro/E will start.

Run Pro/E on arnold, cam, cad, cae, garth, kermit, elmo, sla, or oscar.

AutoCAD R12 w/Modeling Extensions
Demo version available on GLUE system for SUN stations only.

To run at any SUN station, type in unix shell:

telnet caddie.eng.umd.edu tap autocad acad

This will bring up the demo version.

Also available on 486 PC's at the ADM Lab.

AutoCAD R13 & Mechanical Desktop
Part of SME Gift by AutoDesk.
Multiple Seats for Pentium PC's, and 5 UNIX workstations at ADM Lab.
3-Dimensional Modeling and Drafting.

CADKEY V7.0 & Cutting Edge
On 486 PC's at ADML CADKEY is a Windows based CAD package from Baystate Technologies. Cutting Edge adds manufacturing capability to parts created in CADKEY.

To run Cutting Edge, type at DOS command line:

CE

Cutting Edge will start.

EUCLID/STRIM from Matra Datavision

Hopefully, soon to be available on SGI's at ADML.
